Architect graduated from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Doctor in Urbanism, University of Grenoble II, France. Member of ICOMOS since 1991. Author of books such as: “Arquitectura vernácula en México", "El color de la arquitectura mexicana", “Arquitectura funeraria popular en México", "La presencia árabe en América Latina", and more. Expert advisor of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee. He has presented several exhibitions of posters of vernacular architecture. Member of juries for national and international architecture contests. Member of the National System of Investigators – CONACYT. National award "Juan Pablos” for his book "Arquitectura vernácula en México". Member of the School Advisory Technical Advice and Investigating Professor of the Master in Sciences of Architecture in the Superior School of Engineering and Architecture of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional, México. Collaborator of the Andalusian Institute of Historical Heritage in the field of the heritage. Since 2001 Director of World Heritage of the Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia, México. He has participated in the elaboration of the text on the Convention for the Safeguard of the Immaterial Cultural Heritage of the UNESCO, by Mexico. Arquitecto egresado de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Doctorado en urbanismo por la Universidad de Grenoble II, Francia. Miembro del ICOMOS desde 1991. Autor de libros como: "Arquitectura vernácula en México", "El color de la arquitectura mexicana", “Arquitectura funeraria popular en México", "La presencia árabe en América Latina", etc. Experto consultor del Comité de patrimonio mundial de la UNESCO. Ha presentado varias exposiciones de carteles de arquitectura vernácula. Miembro de jurados para concursos nacionales e internacionales de arquitectura. Miembro del sistema nacional de ivestigadores – CONACYT. Premio nacional "Juan Pablos” por su libro de "Arquitectura vernácula en México". Miembro del Consejo técnico consultivo escolar y Profesor investigador de la Maestría en Ciencias de Arquitectura en la Escuela superior de Ingeniería y Arquitectura del Instituto Politécnico Nacional, México. Colaborador del Instituto Andaluz de Patrimonio Histórico en el campo del patrimonio. Desde el 2001, Director de patrimonio mundial del Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia, México. Ha participado en la elaboración del texto sobre la Convención para la salvaguarda del patrimonio cultural inmaterial de la UNESCO, para México. A la fecha, Consultor internacional en temas de patrimonio mundial. Relator en la 25ª reunión del Comité de patrimonio mundial de la UNESCO realizada en la ciudad de Helsynki, Finlandia.
