and Mr. Jackson is a great gym teacher. Maria is a good student and she’s very good at Math and History. I’m not very
good at Math and History isn’t my favorite subject. I like Music and Art.

Gloria lives in Bogota. she works down town at St. Louis Hospital. She’s a nurse. She leaves home early to her
work every morning. She walks to her bus-stop first. Then she takes the bus and gets to the hospital. Sometimes
she takes a taxi because the bus is crowded, and it doesn’t stop to pick up the people. Gloria enjoys her work very
much.
Observa los verbos en negrilla, todos ellos llevan S al finalizar, porque el sujeto que los acompaña son terceras
personas del singular. (he, she, it).
Otros ejemplos: Carlos plays the piano.
He gets up early.
Sofia works well. She puts on her uniform
Los verbos terminados en: sh, ch, s, o, x. Se añade al verbo es, cuando el sujeto es tercera persona (he, she, it)
Examples: Camila washes the plates. She watches television. Andrea kisses her Mon. He does his task.
Yoli goes to class. Mary fixes her car.
Con los demás sujetos el verbo queda en la forma base. (I, you, we, they)
Examples:
I work well. We get up at 6:oo o’clock.

MY DAILY ROUTINE: (Reading)
My name is Thomas Moor and I am a student. Everyday I get up at seven. Then I take a shower, brush my
teeth and put on my uniform. After that I have breakfast with my family. At seven forty five, my sister Becky
and I leave home. School begins at eight fifteen and finishes at one thirty. After school, we always have lunch
with our parents. At about three o’clock I do my homework. After that, I go out and play with my friends.
Sometimes we go to the swimming pool. We play soccer and baseball. I arrive home at six P.M. We usually
have dinner at seven fifteen. My father never eats with us because he arrives home at ten. I never watch too
much TV. I always go to bed at nine thirty.
