Intended Use:
This ELISA test is a qualitative serological assay for detection of Odontoglossum ringspot
virus (ORSV) in orchid. When sampling the plant for a diagnosis, be sure to wash all sample cutting
tools with a bleach solution before using them on another plant.
ORSV is generally spread through orchid collections via
contact with contaminated tools. This virus frequently
causes severe symptoms in cultivated orchids, reducing the
value of infected plants.
