EMPREAMAR is an entrepreneurship training programme
developed in the territory of the Fisterra-Ría de Muros FLAG that
offers capacity building and support to local unemployed people to
develop and implement new business initiatives in marine related
areas.
EMPREAMAR es un programa de formación en emprendimiento
marino desarrollado en el territorio del GAC4 Fisterra-Ría de Muros
e Noia que ofrece capacitación y apoyo a jóvenes emprendedores
locales para que desarrollen y establezcan sus ideas de negocio
vinculadas al mar.
The project consists

Capacity building and entrepreneurship are priority areas for many
FLAGs across Europe. Projects to foster entrepreneurial skills and
support for the development and implementation of business
initiatives can help overcome challenges faced in many fisheries
areas.
La formación y el emprendimiento son elementos prioritarios para
los GAC europeos. Los proyectos de promoción y capacitación
para el emprendimiento así como el apoyo para el desarrollo de
ideas de negocio en las comunidades costeras pueden ayudar a
afrontar los retos actuales de muchas zonas pesqueras.

Since the start of EMPREAMAR, 30 local unemployed people have
been trained and received coaching to put in place their own
businesses in the fisheries sector.
Desde su comienzo, el proyecto EMPREAMAR ha formado
y asesorado a 30 emprendedores locales, en su mayoría
desempleados, para impulsar sus ideas de negocio en el sector de
la pesca y el mar.
EMPREAMAR faces several FARNET priorities such as adding

The Seo de Fisterra Ría de Muros-Noia
FLAG is a local entity working for the
improvement of the competitiveness of the
fishing sector, focused on the added value
of the seafood through the processing,
distribution and marketing of fishing
products. It also supports the economic
diversification of the territory, especially
through tourism, by leading activities aimed
at increasing the quality of life of the people
and the coastal environment.

Ría de Muros-Noia es una institución
que trabaja a nivel local para mejorar
la competitividad del sector pesquero
apostando fuertemente por la captación
del valor añadido de la pesca a través de
la transformación, la comercialización y la
distribución de sus productos. También
apuesta por ahondar en la diversificación
económica del territorio, especialmente a
través del turismo y trata de implementar
iniciativas que redunden en la calidad
de vida de la población del territorio y la
calidad ambiental del mismo.

Campus do Mar is an International Campus of Excellence consisting
of the aggregation of the universities, research centers, institutions
and technological platforms of Galician-Northern Portugal Euroregion in the fields of marine science and technology.
Campus do Mar es un Campus de Excelencia Internacional que
agrega las universidades, centros de investigación, institutos
y plataformas tecnológicas de la Eurorregión Galicia-Norte de
Portugal que trabajan en torno a las ciencias y tecnologías del mar.
Campus do Mar support has been focused on key subjects such
as technical and scientific advice by experts, project development,
viability assessment, communication and social media strategy,
branding, marketing and grant application procedures.
Campus do Mar ha centrado su apoyo en areas clave como el
asesoramiento científico y técnico por parte de expertos, estudios
de viabilidad técnica y socioeconómica, maduración de los
proyectos, estrategia de comunicación y marketing y tutorización
en la solicitud de subvenciones.
The project has also been supported by the
Council of Porto do Son and the Council of Carnota.

The EMPREAMAR project has targeted local unemployed people
from the fisheries sector, with the provision of business mentoring,
coaching and financial support in order to encourage the creation
of new sustainable businesses in the fisheries sector.
El proyecto EMPREAMAR se ha dirigido a emprendedores locales,
mayoritariamente desempleados, del sector de la pesca y del mar,
proporcionando asesoramiento, tutorización y apoyo financiero y
de infraestructuras para estimular la creación de nuevas empresas
sostenibles en el sector de la pesca.
The project has resulted in the creation of several new business
initiatives in the FLAG area.

The marine business arisen from EMPREAMAR will soon become
true. Already at the final stage of the project, the entrepreneurs
continue with their technical and economic feasibility studies,
improving their business plans day by day. Thanks to the scientific
and technical advice of Campus do Mar experts, the projects
are getting closer to the market, achieving the main target of
EMPREAMAR: to highlight the marine resources creating added
value and jobs in the coastal territory. This training and coaching
methodology can be easily exported to other coastal communities
in the near future.
Las ideas de negocio surgidas del Programa EMPREAMAR pronto
se convertirán en realidad. Ya en la fase final del proyecto,
los emprendedores continuan avanzando en sus estudios de
viabilidad técnica y económica y perfeccionando sus planes de
negocio. Gracias al asesoramiento empresarial y científico de
expertos del Campus do Mar, los proyectos van acercándose al
mercado, culminando así el objetivo principal de EMPREAMAR,
que es el de poner en valor los recursos que el mar ofrece,
generando valor añadido y empleo en el territorio sobre el
que actúa. La metodología de esta iniciativa de formación
y asesoramiento en emprendimiento puede ser fácilmente
exportable a otros territorios costeros.
