A MESSAGE FROM FR. RUBÉN
Dear Holy Apostles Parish Family:
Thank you to all the people who worked very
hard in preparing and decorating the float for
McHenry’s Fiesta Days Parade. Despite the
heat, many families from around the area
came out and enjoyed the parade.
It was a great joy to see the participation and
unity of the three parish in McHenry. Though
we all have our unique differences, St. Patrick,
St, Mary, and the Church of the Holy Apostles
came together to show this unity to our brothers and sisters in Christ. So thank you for your
willingness to build up and be wonderful
witness to the City of McHenry.
This weekend Father Joseph Jablonski, a
missionary priest with the Sacred Heart will be
with us. Father is here on behalf of his order,
asking for support for his religious community
and the many missions they have in South
America, Canada, Australia and here in the
United States.
Thanks to the generosity of the people of
God, the missionaries continue to carry the
word of God to remote locations, and help the
needy. May God multiply the generosity of each
one of you. God bless and have a wonderful
weekend.

Misericordia. Continuamos el próximo domingo 7 de
agosto con más explicación.

Your Gifts Help Struggling Families
A local family has struggled to make ends meet since
their primary breadwinner was severely burned in a
workplace accident. Suffering from seizures and complications from the injuries, this middle-aged man is
unable to work. His wife
works full time in a minimum wage job, however
this meager income does
not support their family of
four while waiting to hear
about disability. The St.
Vincent de Paul Society
recently helped their
family by paying their overdue gas bill, providing a tank
of gas for the family vehicle and providing several bags
of groceries. This couple prayed with visiting Vincentians
for courage and grace as well as in appreciation for
God's presence in their lives.
Whoever has a bountiful eye will be blessed, for he
shares his bread with the poor. Proverbs 22:9
