DESCRIPCIÓN DEL CURSO
El curso se propone brindar una introducción al neoplatonismo plotiniano en general y, en
particular, a la concepción del sí mismo que Plotino ofrece en sus escritos. Para ello se
ofrecerá una caracterización introductoria de los elementos doctrinales constitutivos de esta
concepción. Se establecerá una distinción entre un discurso plotiniano filosófico acerca del sí
mismo y otro místico. El primero de ellos es de corte argumentativo e investigativo y el
segundo es de carácter alegórico, figurativo y enigmático. El curso explorará, por último, la
temática de la experiencia mística en Plotino tal como es comprendida por los plotinistas del
siglo XX.
