Possible Medication Side Effects
Your child is taking ________________________. This medication is
safe in children. Adverse effects are very rare, occurring in only 1 of
every 1000 children. Blood tests and vitamin supplements are
usually not necessary. While taking this medication, however,
irritation of the liver may rarely occur.
IF YOUR CHILD HAS ANY OF THE FOLLOWING
SYMPTOMS FOR MORE THAN 3 DAYS,
PLEASE STOP THE MEDICATION AND CALL
THE CLINIC FOR AN EVALUATION.









Jaundice (yellow eyes or skin)
Nausea (upset stomach)
Vomiting
Diarrhea
Stomach Pain
Loss of appetite
Dark or tea-colored urine
Pain, numbness or tingling in hands or feet
Rash all over the body
NOTE: Do not give Tylenol when patient is taking TB
medications. It is OK to give Motrin
or Advil.

medicamento es seguro para los niños. Los efectos secundarios
causados por éste medicamento son muy raros. Estos ocurren en 1
de cada 1000 niños que están tomando este medicamento.
Usualmente, exámenes de sangre y/o suplementos de vitaminas no
son necesarios. Aún así, el medicamento puede causar irritación del
hígado.
SI SU NIÑO TIENE ALGUNO DE LOS SIGUIENTES
SÌNTOMAS POR MÁS DE TRES DÍAS, FAVOR DE
DETENER EL MEDICAMENTO Y LLAMAR A LA
CLINICA PARA UNA EVALUACIÓN MÉDICA.








Ictericia (ojos o piel de color Amarillo)
Nausea
Vómitos
Diarrea
Dolor de estómago
Orina de color oscuro
Pérdida de apetito
Dolor, adormecimiento o cosquilleo en las manos o
las piernas.
 Manchas o granitos en la piel
ATENCIÓN: Favor de NO utilizar Tylenol mientras está
tomando este medicamento. SI PUEDE utilizar Advil o
Motrin.
