Project RENEW (Refugees Entering New Enterprises and
Workforce) is a comprehensive program that provides English
for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), continuing
education, and vocational/workforce training for eligible
refugees, asylees, Amerasians and victims of human
trafficking living in Broward County.
Proyecto RENEW (refugiados entrando en nuevas
empresas y fuerza laboral) es un pro-grama integral
que proporciona el inglés para hablantes de otros
idiomas (ESOL), educación continua y formación
profesional y personal para los refugiados elegibles,
asilados, Amerasians y víctimas de tráfico humano en
el condado de Broward.
Since its inception, RENEW has grown exponentially and has
trained students from a variety of countries, such as Burma,
Colombia, Cuba, China, Haiti, Iraq, Iran, Russia, Venezuela,
and more.

Eligibility Requirements
• Asylees of all nationalities
• Refugees of Cuba, Haiti and
all nationalities
• Amerasians
• Special immigrants from Iraq
and Afghanistan
• Lawful permanent residents who
adjusted from prior refugee, entrant,
or asylum status
• 18 years old and older
• Residing in Broward County
• Registered with an employment
provider or employed
