Based in San Salvador, Lucas Arévalo has profiled his career in the execution and
implementation of marketing strategies for various top companies and multi international brands
in the Central American market.
Through the years, his passion for the fine arts led him to channel his marketing and PR
experience to the region´s growing art field. Where he has supported and collaborated as an
advisor for social and cultural institutions, government and other NGOs involved in the local art
scene. His work is involved with projects regarding conceptual forms of contemporary art
practices that questions the norm and are related with social and personal concepts as means of
cultural exchange as well as initiatives that encourage and develop contemporary Salvadorian
heritage both locally and internationally.
Currently he is the curator of exhibitions at POINT & SPACE, both alternative space programs
for exhibition and continues to actively promote a platform for cultural events, exhibitionsconferences and art shows. He has additionally, curated exhibitions at The Museum of Art in
San Salvador, Hilger Brotkunsthalle -Vienna and The Art Center South Florida in Miami.
Con base en San Salvador, Lucas Arévalo ha perfilado su carrera en la ejecución e
implementación de estrategias de mercadeo para varias empresas de renombre y marcas
internacionales en el mercado centroamericano.
A través de los años, su pasión por las artes lo ha llevado a canalizar su experiencia en mercadeo
y relaciones públicas al campo creciente de arte regional. En donde ha apoyado y colaborado
como gestor para instituciones sociales y culturales, gubernamentales y ONGs involucradas en la
escena de arte local. Su trabajo involucra proyectos con referencia a formas conceptuales de
prácticas artísticas contemporáneas que cuestionan la norma y están relacionadas con temas y
conceptos sociales y personales como medios de intercambio cultural así como iniciativas que
motivan y promueven la herencia contemporánea salvadoreña localmente e internacionalmente.
Actualmente es el curador de exhibiciones en POINT & SPACE, ambos espacios alternativos de
exhibición y continua activamente promoviendo una plataforma para eventos culturales,
conferencias, exhibiciones y art shows. Él ha adicionalmente curado exhibiciones en El Museo
de Arte de El Salvador, Hilger Brotkunsthalle -Vienna y El Art Center South Florida en Miami.
