The amazing thing is that Jackie was a 17 year-old girl. That’s the story we’re reading about this week, Mighty Jackie. The author tells about Jackie’s life growing up and how determined she was to be a pitcher. I think the author also wanted to tell readers about a special girl, and that if you work toward a dream, you can make it come true.
