Some of you have try installing version CDM20824_Setup.exe but it did not solve the
TR
problem.
But problem maybe you haven unistalled newest version so, go here:

unzip disconnect all usb ftdi devices and run the GUi one , First press “add” button and
then once added press “ remove devices” button.

Once done, plug again ur arduino nano or ftdi converter and it should work.

In order to avoid updating drivers once you plug in again a nano you have to disable this in win 7 more
or less is this way: startr=> sevices and printer => right click PC icon / devices configuration and
installation and select “ don’t let me choose “ + “ install windows update controller software if
windowds doesn’t find in this equipment” (is the second choice over the 3 posible ones. )

“la desactivacion de de la instalacion automatica de controladores de Windows Update. Por defecto
todos lo tenemos activado en modo automatico, por tanto cada vez que conectamos el NANO (o
cualquier dispositivo) WinUpdate mira si el controlador esta actualizado, como para que funcione
hacemos un downgrade del driver, al conectar el nano por 2ª vez, conectar otro NANO, hacer un reset al
NANO mientras esta conectado...., es decir, en cuanto Win detecta un nuevo dispositivo lo que va hacer
es actualizar el controlador a la ultima version, es decir que nuestro downgrade desaparece y se
actualiza a la version 20830 que es la que d problemas con esta serie de chips.

Para desactivar esta funcion automatica, Inicio/Dispositivos e impresora/click derecho sobre el icono
respresentativo del PC/Configuracion de la instalacion de dispositivos/ y seleccionar "No, dejarme elegir"
+ "Instalar software de controlador de Windows Update si no se encuentra en el equipo." (es la segunda
opcion de las 3 posibles).
Esta desactivacion hay que hacerla antes de hacer el downgrade del driver. Despues se hace el
downgrade y al conectar los NANO el equipo ya tiene la version 20824 que es la que interesa y no la
modifica ni actualiza hasta que nosotros digamos lo contrario. Hay que apuntar que en culaquier
momento se puede actulizar los drivers manualmente y que en el caso de conectar un dispositivo y que
Win no tenga el driver correspondiente lanzara una ventana indicando si se quiere buscar en WinUpdate
para instalar el controlador.

I have a batch of this old ftdi nanos that only work with that version of driver, tested with older ones,
testes changing bootloader with one working, no one worked, only this.

Is should solve also problems for those who only have an ftdi converter if has same chip with this
problem.
