The Angel
Era un día de sol cuando el cielo se abrió
y a la tierra un ángel cayó.
A la orilla del río se bañaba el ángel
y lloraba en su soledad.

Le dijo un pájaro azul
“Mira a lo lejos, hay una ventana
donde ves la luna y el mar.”
Y el ser de las nubes sin pensar más se fue
a buscar el mapa hacia el sol,
a través del mar, a la luz de la luna
el anhelo en él creció
de encontrar esa voz que le hablaba en los
sueños,
era el canto de una flor.
“¿Que pasa ángel que estás confundido?”
Le dijo una estrella de mar.
“Deja que el viento acaricie tus alas,
y escucha hacia donde has de ir.”
Y la noche cayó y la tormenta cedió,
y el temor en el creció
de tener que escoger un camino de dos,
uno al sol y otro a su corazón.
Y la flor esperaba al otro lado de la luna
a que el ángel besara esa voz.
“¿Que pasa ángel que estás esperando?”
Le dijo su amada flor.
“Soy parte de tu alma, no has de buscar lejos,
y juntos partimos al sol!”
“Why oh angel,
why are you so lonely?”
Said the blue bird to him
“Look in the distance,
there is a window
where you can see
the moon and the sea.”
The being of the clouds
without thinking, went to find
the map to the sun.
Across the sea, by the light of the moon
the longing grew in him,
to find that voice that talked to him in his dreams,
It was the song of a flower.
“Why oh angel, why are you confused?”
said the sea star to him.
“Let the wind caress your wings and listen where
you shall go.”
The night fell and the storm receded
and the fear grew in him
for having to choose one way of two:
one to the sun and the other to his heart.
and the flower waited by the other side of the moon
that the angel may kiss that voice.
“What, oh angel, what are you waiting for?”
Said his beloved flower to him.
“I am part of your soul, you ain’t look far,
And together we fly to the sun!”
