how to make different number bonds for numbers to 10. Number

Understanding number bonds makes it easier for children to
learn basic addition and subtraction facts and makes them more
proficient in mental math calculations. Working together to group
concreteobjectscanhelpyourchildquicklygrasptheconceptof
number bonds.
Forexample,haveyourchildcollectsomeleavesfromyour
backyard(approximately10bigand10smallleaves).Youmay
substitutewithshells(bigandsmall)orbeans(redandblack)or
any other small object.
•Askyourchildtochooseanumberbetween1and10,
forexample,7.Haveyourchildmaketwosetsofleaves.
