Meal Prices: The Food and Nutritional Services Department is looking forward to serving the children of Plano
ISD for the 2014-15 school year. Our meals provide high quality, nutritious, age appropriate foods that meet
USDA requirements. Plano ISD will offer meals at the following prices for the 2014-15 school year:

Plano lSD participates in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs which is governed by the
United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The district follows the food-based menu planning approach for
breakfast and lunch. Lunch consists of five groups which are: meat/meat alternate, grains, fruits, vegetables and
milk. A reimbursable meal consists of a minimum requirement of three items from the five groups listed above,
one of which must be a half cup of a fruit or vegetable. Breakfast (where served) will include at least three choices
from the five food groups, one of which must be a half cup of a fruit. If minimum requirements for a reimbursable
meal are not met, á la carte prices will be charged.
The Offer versus Serve menu style implementation by Plano ISD specifies that it is the student’s decision regarding
which items he/she selects for breakfast and lunch. Federal regulations state students must select items and place
them on their tray. A staff member may not put items on the student’s tray or insist he/she select certain food
items. Staff members may assist if a student cannot reach an item. Nutritious snacks are sold for a nominal fee to
students in 1st - 12th grade. The nutritional analysis for elementary and secondary lunch menus is available at the

PayPAMS: The district has an on-line payment option. PayPAMS allows parents to make credit card payments to
their child’s lunch account via the Internet. Parents can find the PayPAMS link on the Plano ISD Food and

Precios de la comida: El Departamento de Alimentos y Servicios de Nutrición anticipa con deseo servir a los
hijos de Plano ISD para el año escolar 2014-15. Nuestras comidas ofrecen alta calidad, alimentos nutritivos

Plano ISD participa en el Programa de Almuerzo Escolar Nacional y Programa de Desayuno Escolar que se rige
por el Departamento de Agricultura de Estados Unidos (USDA). El distrito sigue el menú a base de alimentos
enfoque de la planificación para el desayuno y el almuerzo. El almuerzo consiste en cinco componentes que son:
la carne / sustituto de carne, granos, frutas, verduras y leche. Una comida reembolsable consiste en un mínimo de
tres de los cinco componentes mencionados anteriormente, uno de los cuales debe ser una fruta o verdura.
Desayuno (donde se sirve) incluirá, al menos, tres opciones de los cinco componentes, uno de los cuales debe ser
una fruta. Si no se cumplen los requisitos mínimos para una comida reembolsable, se cobrarán precios a la carta.
La Oferta frente Servir estilo de menú de la aplicación por el Distrito Escolar Independiente de Plano especifica
que es de la decisión del estudiante con respecto a los alimentos que él / ella selecciona para el desayuno y el
almuerzo. Los reglamentos federales indica que los estudiantes deben seleccionar los alimentos y colocarlos en
su bandeja. Un miembro del personal no puede colocar en la bandeja del estudiante o insistir en que él / ella
selecciona ciertos alimentos. Los miembros del personal pueden ayudar si un estudiante no alcanza un alimento.
Meriendas nutritivas se venden por un precio nominal a los alumnos de 1 º - 12 º grado. El análisis nutricional de

PayPAMS: El distrito tiene una opción de pago on-line. PayPAMS permite a los padres para hacer los pagos con
