FREE SWIM ON
EARLY RELEASE DAYS
The Madras Aquatic Center is offering a FREE recreation
swim on every early release day for the rest of the school
year. The swim, sponsored by CHIP (Community Health
Improvement Partnership), will be from 1:30-3:00 pm.

El Centro Acuático de Madras esta ofreciendo nadar

A Message from the Principal
How quickly the days pass! The spectacular colors of fall are already upon us. As we enter November Madras Primary has much to celebrate. Students and staff are putting fabulous effort
into the reading and math programs. It is very exciting to watch them enjoy their special’s
time with Library, Music, and Physical Education as well!
Our Kinder students just recently celebrated accomplishments in math with parents and staff.
The “100 Grand Assembly” recognized students for their counting abilities. Thank you to parents for your support of this event!
We are celebrating the reading levels our first and second graders have demonstrated. Three
year scores of our students indicate more improvement than ever before. Congratulations
students, staff, and parents!
Students have been doing a good job with their daily attendance, consistently 93-95%, but our
goal is 98%. School starts at 8:00 a.m. and the number of students arriving after 8:00 a.m. is
too high. A suggestion for families consistently arriving late for school is to make sure clocks
at home are set to the clock in the main office. With Daylight Savings Time ending this is a
great opportunity to make those adjustments.
November brings the end of the first quarter of school, report cards, and Parent/Teacher Conferences. Teachers are calling to set appointment times to meet with you either on November
13th or 15th between 3:45 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. Please plan to meet with your child’s teacher to
get report cards, discuss student progress, and to receive the Madras Primary Compact between Parent, Student, and Teacher.
Please remember that Thanksgiving Break is the week of November 19th through the 23rd.
There are no Parent-Teacher Conferences or school on November 19th or 20th at Madras Primary. As you know we conduct our conferences during evening hours throughout the school
year.
Our Parent Teacher Organization is underway with the fall fundraiser. Dollars raised help support both Buff and Madras Primary events such as field trips, material needs, and more. Give
us a call at the office if you would like to help.

Un Mensaje del Director
Los días pasan rápido! Los espectaculares colores de otoño ya están sobre nosotros. A
medida que entramos en noviembre Madras Primary tiene mucho que celebrar. Los estudiantes y el personal están haciendo un esfuerzo fabuloso en los programas de lectura y
matemáticas. ¡Es muy emocionante verlos disfrutar su tiempo especial en la biblioteca,
música y educación física!
Nuestros estudiantes de Kinder recientemente celebraron sus logros en matemáticas con
padres y el personal. La asamblea de “100 Grand” reconoció a estudiantes por sus habilidades de contar. ¡Gracias a los padres por su apoyo en este evento!
Estamos celebrando los niveles de lectura que nuestros estudiantes de primero y segundo
grado han demostrado. Calificaciones de tres años de nuestros estudiantes indican más
mejoramiento que nunca antes. ¡Felicidades estudiantes, personal, y padres!
Los estudiantes han estado hacienda un buen trabajo con su asistencia diaria, consistente

Maestro de Madras Primary. Por favor recuerde que las vacaciones del día de Acción de
Gracia es la semana del 19 hasta el 23 de noviembre. No hay Conferencias de PadresMaestros ni escuela el 19 o 20 de Noviembre en Madras Primary. Como usted sabe nosotros conducimos nuestras conferencias durante las horas de la tarde durante el año escolar.
Nuestra Organización del Club Paternal esta en marcha con la recaudación de fondos del
otoño. Dólares recaudados ayudan a apoyar tanto a Buff como a Madras Primary en eventos tales como excursiones, materiales, y mucho mas. Llámenos a la oficina si le gustaría
