If your child was approved to receive free or reduced price meals in the Wenatchee School District during the '15-‐'16 school year, that status will be honored from Aug. 30 through Oct. 11, 2016. But you must reapply in order to be considered for con9nua9on of these valuable benefits a?er Oct. 12. *A new applica>on will be mailed directly to your residence in September. Please wait unIl the applicaIon arrives at your home to reapply. *Your child's school will distribute applica>ons only to those families who were not approved for Free or Reduced Price Meals in the Wenatchee School District during the last school year. *If your applica>on has not been approved by Oct. 11, the meal benefit will expire and your child's status will revert automa>cally to "Full Pay" on Oct. 12. *Because it can take up to 10 days to process your applica>on, it is highly recommended that you submit it by September 27 in order to give us >me to process your new applica>on and prevent a lapse in benefits. *CONTINUING THIS YEAR: Lunches will be served at no cost to those children in kindergarten through 3rd grade who qualify for reduced price status. Lunch will s>ll be available at the reduced price of 40 cents to students in 4th through 12th grade who qualify at the reduced price level. And breakfast will be served at no cost to all students who qualify for either free or reduced price meals, no maaer their grade.
