PROGRAMA INTERCAMBIO ESTUDIANTES ENTRE EL
“COLEGIO SAGRADO CORAZÓN Y SHIMNA COLLEGE”
Es el 3º año de relación “intercambio” entre el Colegio Sagrado Corazón –
PP.Capuchinos y el Shimna Integrated College (Newcastle – Irlanda del Norte).
Entre los días 4 y 11 de Febrero nos visitan 7 alumn@s de dicho Centro y del
colegio Down High, con edades comprendidas entre los 15 y los 17 años, compartiendo
las actividades que se realizan en el Colegio y realizando sus prácticas de enseñanza. A
la vez conviven con las familias de nuestr@s alumn@s, de 1º de Bachillerato, en sus
respectivos domicilios.
Después de la experiencia del primer año, creemos que un intercambio estudiantil
o cultural es una manera más efectiva de aprender inglés, alumnos del curso anterior han
realizado visitas posteriormente a sus “familias irlandesas” y viceversa.
Damos nuestra más sincera gratitud al Shimna College y en especial al
coordinador y profesor D. Miguel Ángel Navarrete Gutiérrez (antiguo alumno de nuestro
Colegio) que acompaña a los alumnos en su estancia entre nosotros.
This is the third year that our Exchange Programme Abroad between Sagrado
Corazon PP.
Capuchinos College and Shimna Integrated College in NewcastleNorthern Ireland
is
taking
place.
Between the 4th and the 11th of February, 6 students from Shimna Integrated College
and one from Down High Grammar, aged between 15 and 17, will visit our centre. They will take
part in academic and cultural activities organized by our school. The Northern Irish students will
be
hosted
by
the
families
of
our
students
of
1º
de
Bachillerato.
We believe that to participate in a student exchange programme abroad enhances our
students’ level in a foreign language. Already, a number of our students who previously
participated in this programme have returned to visit their “Irish families" again after their first visit
to Northern Ireland and vice versa.
We would like to thank sincerely Shimna Integrated College and especially the
Exchange Programme Coordidator and Teacher of Spanish D. Miguel Ángel Navarrete Gutiérrez,
former student of our school, who accompanies his students during their stay with us.
