ACTIVITY TITLE: ORDER OF ADJECTIVES
AIM OF THE ACTIVITY: Learn a practice the order of adjectives in sentences.
ESTIMATED DURATION: 55 minutes session
MATERIALS NEEDED: Copies of the attached activity sheets for students
ATTACHED DOCUMENTS: Answer sheet for teacher and activity sheet for students
SUGGESTED LEVEL: B2-C1
PROCEDURE
1.- Teacher introduces the topic and explains that the order of adjectives in English is different
from other languages. (5 min)
2.- Students do exercise 1, and try to figure out some rules out of it. They can work in pairs or
threes. (10 min)
3.- Teacher gives every group pieces of paper with adjectives they should put in the right order.
The teacher writes the beginning and ending of the sentence on the board. (5 min)
4.- Correct the previous exercise all together while teacher explains the order of adjectives
rules.
5.- Students individually do the Practice on Sheet I (10 min)
6.- Correct the sentences all together. (10 min)

Teacher makes copies of these adjectives and cut them in separated pieces. Every pair or
group in the classroom must have a set.
