At Youth on a Mission, you will encounter Christ, learn
practical skills for servant leadership, discover God’s call to
evangelize and be challenged to take the next step in your
discipleship. Join us from July 9—July 12, at the Cal Maritime Academy, 200 Maritime Academy Drive, Vallejo. The
cost for 4 days is $295.00 per person and includes food, lodging and program materials. The application deadline is May
15.

~ST. EUGENE’S SUMMER SCHOOL~
St. Eugene’s School is once again offering a summer program for students who are entering 1st through 8th grades
in the fall of 2015. Our summer program is a five-week session beginning Monday, June 15th and ending Friday, July
17th. The summer program focuses on reading, writing, and
math taught around exciting and engaging themes. In the
afternoon, students will enjoy classes in arts and crafts,
movement and games, sports, reader’s theater, and computers. Tuition for this five week, full-day program (9:00 to
2:30) is $700. Daycare is provided before and after the summer program (7:30 to 9:00 a.m. and 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.) at $3.80
an hour and $1.90 per half hour. Classes must have a minimum of 10 students. Please call the school office at 545-7252
for a registration form and mail it to St. Eugene’s by May 1st.

The St. Eugene's Respect Life Committee and the Diocesan
Council of Catholic Women invite you to a Spring Gathering on Saturday, May 2nd. The program begins with Mass
at 8 a.m. in the Cathedral followed by brunch in the PLC.
The featured speaker is Brian O'Neel, editor of the North
Coast Catholic and published author. The topic will be: The
Saints, The Culture of Life, and the New Evangelization. A
free-will offering will be taken and the morning will close
with drawings for a quilt and gift baskets. For info, contact

que viven juntos a un periodo de preparación que
comenzara prontamente. Por favor comuníquese a la

Hoy celebramos el Domingo del Buen Pastor. El Domingo del Buen Pastor es el cuarto domingo de Pascua. El nombre deriva de las lecturas del
Evangelio de este día que se toman del capítulo 10
del Evangelio de San Juan; San Juan 10: 1-10 (ciclo
A), San Juan 10: 11-18 (ciclo B) y San Juan 10: 27-30
(ciclo C). En estas lecturas el Señor Jesús es descrito
como el Buen Pastor que, al morir en la Cruz, dio su
vida por sus ovejas. Este cuarto domingo de Pascua
también es conocido como el Domingo de la Jornada Mundial de Oración por las Vocaciones, un día
en el que toda la Iglesia Católica ofrece oraciones
por las vocaciones al sacerdocio y a la vida religiosa.
Recordemos orar al Sumo y Eterno Sacerdote Jesucristo para que nos de vocaciones santas y fieles al
santo sacerdocio y a la vida consagrada.

Señor Nuestro Jesucristo, Tú dijiste a tus Apóstoles:
“la mies es mucha pero los obreros pocos; rueguen
al Señor de la mies que envíe obreros a su campo.”
Humildemente te suplicamos que envíes a tu Iglesia
numerosas y santas vocaciones sacerdotales y religiosas. Te lo pedimos por la intercesión de la Santísima Virgen María, nuestra Madre, y por la de nuestros Santos Patronos y Protectores, que con su vida
y merecimientos santificaron nuestro suelo. Amén.
Oración para los Padres de Familia
Oh Dios, Tú me has concedido estos hijos. Sé que
gran parte de las vocaciones surgen en familias cristianas, atraídas por la vida ejemplar de sacerdotes
fieles. Elige a alguno de mis hijos para que sea sacerdote. Sé que la Iglesia los necesita para proseguir
la misión de tu Hijo Jesús.
Ayúdame a no ahorrar ningún medio para que cuaje en alguno de ellos tu llamada, y
el resto lo confío a tu Espíritu.
Guárdalos en tu amor, guíalos y
protégelos. Amén.
