PARISH NEWS
~SANCTUARY UPDATE~
It has been a long road but we are happy to report that progress is being made on our Sanctuary remodel and HVAC
installation. After many months of applying for permits,
undergoing soil testing, submitting plans and meeting with
City Officials, we will begin to see some activity this week!
The altar and baldachino pieces will be assembled into a
mock-up on the lawn area where they currently sit. This is
being done by the engineers who will be seeing how things
fit together and as a final check of all the dimensions and
measurements. As for our upgraded heating system, the
engineer, contractor and heating specialist are preparing to
move forward, as all of the necessary permits have finally
been granted. For those of you who may be new to the parish, if you would like to be a part of this exciting project, it is
never too late to pledge your support!

~VESPERS~
Vespers is part of the Liturgy of the Hours, also known as
the Divine Office. In the Liturgy of the Hours, the Church
fulfills Jesus' command to "pray always" Through this prayer, we sanctify the day by continual praise of God and prayers of intercession for the needs of the world. Every Sunday,
from 4:30 – 5:00 pm, we have a Vespers Service in the Cathedral. All are invited and encouraged to end their weekend
in prayer and join us for this beautiful service.
~COURAGE~
In these times of moral confusion and dissension from
Church teaching, people who experience same-sex attraction
often do not know where to turn for support and guidance
in living the life that Christ wants them to live. St. Eugene’s
is home to the local chapter of Courage, a Churchsanctioned organization that offers spiritual support and
guidance. Those interested in joining are encouraged to call
566-3393 for more information.

CATEDRAL DE ST. EUGENE’S – 26 de Julio del 2015
Decimoséptimo Domingo del Tiempo Ordinario
PARA LA PARTICIPACION EN LA MISA
Desde el Escritorio del P. Roa:
CREDO
nuestra causa fue crucificado en tiempos de Poncio Pilato;
