The Pharisees also with the Sadducees
came, and tempting desired him that he
would shew them a sign from heaven

written law, but had no belief in life after death…
two groups who opposed each other, found a
common rival in Jesus; they wanted proof of his
authority to instruct; he had received no
commission from either of them).

He answered and said unto them, When
it is evening, ye say, It will be fair
weather: for the sky is red.

And in the morning, It will be foul
weather to day: for the sky is red and
lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern
the face of the sky; but can ye not discern
the signs of the times?

A wicked and adulterous generation
seeketh after a sign;

and there shall no sign be given unto it,
but the sign of the prophet Jonah (…so
Jesus gave them one miraculous sign to look for:
Jonah was in the belly of the great fish, three,

Llegaron los fariseos y los saduceos para
tenutario, y le pidieron que les mostrara
una señal del cielo (...los fariseos legalistas
religiosos empapados en tradiciones... junto con
la aristocracia, antepasados de Sadoc el sumo
sacerdote... que llevó a cabo únicamente a la ley
escrita, pero no tenía ninguna creencia en vida
después de la muerte... dos grupos que se
oponían entre sí, encontró un rival común en
Jesús, querían prueba de su autoridad para
instruir; no había recibido ninguna comisión de
cualquiera de ellos).
Pero Él respondiendo les dijo: Cuando
anochece, decís, Hará buen tiempo:
porque el cielo es rojo.
Y por la mañana, Hoy habrá tempestad:
porque el cielo esta rojo y nublado.
¡Hipócritas que sabéis distinguir el
aspecto del cielo; pero las señales de los
tiempos no podéis distinguir!
La generación mala y adúltera demanda
una señal;
Y cuando los discípulos llegaron al otro
lado, pero olvidaron llevar pan.
Entonces Jesús les dijo: Mirad, y

them not beware of the leaven of bread,

This word is used 109 times in the New
Testament. In Matthew 18: Jesus says, Where 2
or 3 gather in My name, there I am in the
midst of them; and, it’s interesting, most of the
time, the early church met in homes. In the
Gospel, only Matthew records Jesus using the
word 3 times.
Esta palabra que se usa 109 veces en el nuevo

Here in Matthew 16. Then, twice in Matthew
18:15-17 Jesus also said: 15 Moreover, if thy
brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell
him his fault between thee and him alone: if he
shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
16 But if he will not hear, take with thee one or
two more, that in the mouth of two or three
witnesses every word may be established. 17
And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell unto
the church […the one Jesus just said He was
building: notice, His disciples were not confused
about where to find His church]: but if he neglect
to hear the church […the only church that Jesus
is building… even where 2 or 3 gather], let him
be unto thee as a heathen man and a publican.
Aquí en Mateo 16. Entonces, dos veces en Mateo
18:15-17 Jesús dijo: 15 Por tanto, si tu hermano
peca contra ti, ve y repréndelo estando tú y él

church […that Jesus said He was building]. In 1
Corinthians 5:6, Paul uses the same word when
he writes: A little leaven leaveneth the whole
lump. So it’s not a word meaning: universal or
catholic… unless there is a universal or catholic
lump of leaven.
En Romanos 16, Pablo a los romanos utiliza la
palabra 5 veces: habla de la ecclesia... el

inspired by the Holy Spirit to use the word;
though, translators interpret the meaning of one
verse by Peter identifying: the church____
whatever it is that is in Babylon! Hmm?!
