Thanks be to God, that in this new cycle the
admonition of Bahá’u’lláh is that in the search
for truth man must weigh religious questions in
the balance of science and reason. God has given
us rational minds for this purpose, to penetrate
all things, to find truth. If one renounce reason,
what remains? The sacred texts? How can we
understand God’s commands and to what use can
we put them without the balance of reason?

Gracias a Dios, por cuanto en este nuevo ciclo
la advertencia de Bahá’u’lláh es que, en la
búsqueda de la verdad, el hombre debe pesar
las cuestiones religiosas en la balanza de la
ciencia y la razón. Dios nos ha dado mentes
racionales para este fin, para penetrar todas las
cosas, para hallar la verdad. Si uno renuncia a

God has given man a heart and the heart must
have some attachment. We have proved that
nothing is completely worthy of our heart’s
devotion save reality, for all else is destined to
perish. Therefore the heart is never at rest and
never finds real joy and happiness until it
attaches itself to the eternal. How foolish the bird
that builds its nest in a tree that may perish when
it could build its nest in an ever-verdant garden
of paradise.

… ciertamente, tu Señor es de mayor bien
para ti que ninguna otra cosa del mundo

circunstancia.
Dios le ha dado al hombre un corazón, y el

If thou seekest eternal glory, let thyself be
humble and meek in the presence of the beloved
of God; make thyself the servant of all, and serve
all alike. The service of the friends belongs to
God, not to them. Strive to become a source of
harmony, spirituality and joyfulness to the hearts
of the friends and the maid-servants of the
Merciful. This is a cause of great satisfaction to
‘Abdu’l-Bahá.
