Descripción
El curso consiste en una lectura detenida de La Ciudad de Dios, buscando resaltar no sólo los
aspectos políticos de la obra, sino la recepción agustiniana de la tradición platónica, los
elementos de “crítica de la cultura” contenidos en el análisis del Imperio, elementos de una
filosofía de la religión y la teoría del telos del libro XIX. La lectura será complementada por
pasajes relevantes de otras obras de san Agustín.
Evaluación
Se solicitará la redacción de un ensayo sobre algún tema vinculado con la obra discutida en el
curso.
