SUJETO VERBO FORMA CORTA PARTICIPIO PASADO AUX I, you, we, they have I’ve, you’ve, we’ve, they’ve talked, learned, traveled… he, she, it has he’s, she’s, it’s talked, learned, traveled… Ejemplos: I have [I’ve] talked to Peter. (He hablado con Peter.) She has [She’s] gone to work. (Ha ido a su trabajo.) We have [We’ve] been to London. (Hemos ido a Londres.) They have [They’ve] learned English. (Han aprendido inglés.) 2. Negative Sentences (Frases negativas) Sujeto + verbo auxiliar (to have) + “not” + participio pasado… Ejemplos: I haven’t talked to Peter. (No he hablado con Peter.) She hasn’t gone to work. (No ha ido a su trabajo.) We haven’t been to London. (No hemos ido a Londres.) They haven’t learned English. (No han aprendido inglés.) 3. Interrogative Sentences (Frases interrogativas) Verbo auxiliar (to have) + sujeto + participio pasado…? Ejemplos: Have you talked to Peter? (¿Has hablado con Peter?) Has she gone to work? (¿Ha ido a su trabajo?) Have you been to London? (¿Has ido a Londres?) Have they learned English? SUJETO VERBO FORMA CORTA PARTICIPIO PASADO AUX I, you, he, she, it, we, they had I’d, you’d, he’d, she’d, it’d, we’d, they’d studied, visited, worked… Structure (Estructura) 1. Affirmative Sentences (Frases afirmativas) Sujeto + “had” + participio pasado… Ejemplos: I had [I’d] visited the Louvre before, so I knew where the Mona Lisa was. They had [They’d] studied English before they went to London. (Habían estudiado inglés antes de irse a Londres.) Henry changed careers because he had [he’d] worked as an accountant for many years and was bored. Negative Sentences (Frases negativas) Sujeto + “had” + “not” + participio pasado… Ejemplos: I had not [hadn’t] visited the Louvre before so I didn’t know where the Mona Lisa was. They had not [hadn’t] studied English before they went to London. (No habían estudiado inglés antes de irse a Londres.) Henry changed careers even though he had not [hadn’t] worked as an accountant for long. Interrogative Sentences (Frases interrogativas) “Had” + sujeto + participio pasado…? Ejemplos: How did you know where the Mona Lisa was? Had you visited the Louvre before? (¿Cómo sabías dónde estaba la Mona Lisa? ¿Habías visitado el Museo del Louvre antes?) Had they studied English before they went to London? (¿Habían estudiado inglés antes de irse a Londres?) Had Henry worked as an accountant for long before he changed careers?(¿Henry había trabajado como contable durante mucho tiempo antes de cambiar de profesión?) 2.Primero y segundo condicional: First Conditional (Tipo 1) http://www.curso-ingles.com/practicar/ejercicios/conditional-sentences Este tipo de condicional se utiliza para el futuro y en los casos en que es muy probable que la condición pasará. IF CONDITION If present simple RESULT future simple (“will”) Ejemplos: If Bill studies, he will pass the exam. / Bill will pass the exam if he studies. (Si Bill estudia, aprobará el examen.) If it doesn’t rain, we will go to the beach. / We will go to the beach if it doesn’t rain. (Si no llueve, iremos a la playa.) Will you take the train if you miss the bus? If you miss the bus, will you takethe train? Ejemplos: If it doesn’t rain, we may go to the beach. If it doesn’t rain, we should go to the beach. If it doesn’t rain, we can go to the beach. IF CONDITION If past simple RESULT “would” + infinitivo Ejemplos: If I won the lottery, I would travel around the world. / I would travel around the world if I won the lottery. If Rachel had more time, she would learn to play the guitar. / Rachel would learn to play the guitar if she had more time. Would you be happy if you were to get married? / If you were to get married, would you be happy? Direct speech Report speech Present Simple Past Simple “He is American,” she said. She said he was American. “I am happy to see you,” Mary said. Mary said that she was happy to see me. Ejemplos: La voz activa He ate all of the cookies. (Comió todas las galletas.) La voz pasiva All of the cookies were eaten. (Todas las galletas fueron comidas.) Grammatical Rules (Reglas gramaticales) Se forma la voz pasiva con el verbo auxiliar “to be” y el participio pasado del verbo. Sujeto + verbo auxiliar (to be) + participio pasado… Ejemplos: The speech is written for the president. (El discurso está escrito para el presidente.) The house was built in 1975. (La casa fue construida en 1975.) My wallet has been stolen. (Ha sido robada mi cartera.) The room will be cleaned while we are out. (Se limpiará la habitación mientras estemos fuera.) 5. Verbos de especulación(modales) http://www.englishpage.com/modals/interactivemodal1.htm Modal verbs The modal verbs include can, must, may, might, will, would, should. They are used with other verbs to express ability, obligation, possibility, and so on. Below is a list showing the most useful modals and their most common meanings: Modal can can may may must must should would would Meaning to express ability to request permission to express possibility to request permission to express obligation to express strong belief to give advice to request or offer in if-sentences Example I can speak a little Russian. Can I open the window? I may be home late. May I sit down, please? I must go now. She must be over 90 years old. You should stop smoking. Would you like a cup of tea? If I were you, I would say sorry. Modal verbs are unlike other verbs. They do not change their form (spelling) and they have no infinitive or participle (past/present). The modals must and canneed substitute verbs to express obligation or ability in the different tenses. Here are some examples: Past simple Present perfect Future Infinitive Sorry I'm late.
