Dear Kindergarten Families,
Welcome to Kindergarten! This year the kindergarten teachers are Ms. Alvarado,
Ms. Laine, Mr. Martinez and Ms. Shortell. It is our belief that a child's success is
based on a cooperative parent/teacher relationship. We look forward to working
with you throughout the year.
We hope you and your child enjoyed the summer and that you are ready to embark
on an important milestone in your child's life. Kindergarten is a year of growing
socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually. Your involvement and
enthusiasm will help make this a wonderful year of growth for your child.
Your child's day will consist of many fun learning activities. They will begin to
read, solve math problems and explore the world around them through science and
social studies. We will also go on field trips to enhance our learning.
The first day of school is Tuesday, September 1, 2015. Please have your child
arrive to school promptly at 7:50 every day.
We are excited to meet your child and start our year together.

¡Bienvenidos a Kindergarten! Este año los maestros de kindergarten son Sra.
Alvarado, Sra. Laine, el Sr. Martínez y la Sra. Shortell. Es de nuestra creencia que
el éxito de un niño/a se basa en una relación de cooperación entre padres y
maestros. Esperamos trabajar con usted durante todo el año.
Esperamos que usted y su hijo/a hayan disfrutado del verano y que ya esté listo
para una etapa importante en la vida de su hijo/a. Kindergarten es un año de
crecimiento social, emocional, físico e intelectual. Su participación y entusiasmo
ayudarán a hacer de este un maravilloso año de crecimiento para su hijo/a.
El día de instrucción consistirá de muchas actividades. Ellos comenzarán a leer,
resolver problemas matemáticos y explorar el mundo que les rodea a través de la
ciencia y estudios sociales. También vamos a poder ir a excursiones para mejorar
nuestro aprendizaje.
El primer día de clases es el martes 1 de septiembre de 2015. Por favor haga que su
hijo llegue a la escuela puntualmente a las 7:50 todos los días.
Estamos muy contentos de conocer a su hijo y empezar nuestro año junto.
