Useful Words and Phrases
Latin America has a great variety of
sights: snow-covered mountains, tropical beaches and rainforests, volcanoes,
jungles, and hot, dry deserts. Guatemala has a long line of 33 volcanoes
running from Mexico to El Salvador.
Costa Rica is working hard to protect
its rainforests by turning large parts of
the country into national parks. Chile is
one country that is a good example of
great diversity. The Atacama desert in
Chile is one of the driest places in the
world. Sometimes it doesn’t rain for
years in this desert. Chile also has a lake
region that is very popular to visit
because it has beautiful mountains,
tree-covered hills, and many clean, clear
lakes.
