MISSION STATEMENT
We, the people of Blessed John XXIII, are a multi-ethnic Roman
Catholic parish (founded on July 1, 2006) formed from the union of the
Church of the Resurrection, Fontana and the parish of St. Thomas
More, Rialto. We seek to nourish the Gospel of Jesus Christ in all
families and people, so that they can rejoice in the love of God in this
life and in the life to come. We endeavor to do this by fostering: an
authentic Christian Stewardship, the Christian education of our youth
and adults through Resurrection Academy and other programs,
outreach to the poor and needy, and the celebration of the sacraments,
especially the Holy Eucharist.

MISIÓN PARROQUIAL
Nosotros, los feligreses de Beato Juan XXIII, somos una
parroquia Católica Romana multiétnica (fundada el 1de julio del 2006)
formada por la unión de la Iglesia de la Resurrección en Fontana y la
parroquia de Santo Tomas Moro en Rialto. Procuramos alimentar el
Evangelio de Jesucristo en todas las familias y en todas personas, para
que puedan regocijarse en el amor de Dios durante ésta vida y en la
vida por venir. Procuramos realizar esto fomentando: una autentica
corresponsabilidad cristiana, una educación cristiana para nuestros
jóvenes y adultos a través de la Academia de la Resurrección y otros
programas, los programas de enlace con el pobre y el necesitado, y la
celebración de los sacramentos, especialmente la Santa Eucaristía.

Commitment Weekend Follow-Up...A blessed
thank you to everyone who contributed last weekend
and to those who offered a gift this weekend to
support the Diocesan Development Fund (DDF).
Our parish goal is 100% participation. Each and
every person’s gift is important, even a gift the size
of a mustard seed. For those who have not made a
pledge, please join us is supporting the vital programs and services
throughout the Diocese of San Bernardino, that no single individual or
parish can offer. Simply fill out a reply card and place it in the offertory
basket or drop it in the mail. Thank you for your generosity and your
support of the DDF 2014!
Seguimiento al Fin de Semana de Compromiso
Las más sinceras gracias a todos los que contribuyeron el fin se semana
pasado y a quienes ofrecieron un donativo este fin de semana en apoyo al
Fondo del Desarrollo Diocesano (DDF). La meta de nuestra parroquia es
un 100% de participación. El donativo de cada persona en particular es
importante, aun un donativo del tamaño de un grano de mostaza. A
quienes no han hecho una promesa, les invito a que se unan a nosotros en
apoyo a los vitales programas y servicios en toda la Diócesis de San
Bernardino, los cuales ningún individuo o parroquia podría ofrecer
individualmente. Simplemente, completen la información en la tarjeta
para responder y deposítenla en la canasta del ofertorio o pónganla en el
correo. ¡Gracias por su generosidad y su apoyo al DDF 2014!
Se le recuerda a la comunidad que tenemos
una Misa en Español todos los miercoles a las
7pm. Tambien los miercoles antes de la Misa
hay Confesiones a las 6pm. Ademas el cuarto
miercoles de cada mes se hara una Misa para
los enfermos.

FONDO DE DESARROLLO DIOCESANO
Jesus, whose birthday we celebrated last December
came into this world with a mission to save. To do this, he gave
up his life for the world and founded a Church to preach the
message of his salvation to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8). In
other words, Jesus founded the Church on the selfless giving of
his life. He gave his all to save us. This mission is continued
by the Church through Preaching, Church establishment and
maintenance. You and I make up the Church. As such, each
one of us has a role to play in building up the Church of Christ
in love. Peter says that we (believers) are the pieces of stone
with which the Church is built (1 Peter 2:5). We do this by volunteering our times, talents and treasures of the members of the
Church to serve the needs of parish and diocese. All over the
world Jesus continues to share his life through the Eucharist and
invites us to share our talents and treasures to maintain and advance the work of salvation.

Diciembre llego al mundo con una misión para salvar. Para
hacer esto, el dio su vida por el mundo y fundo una Iglesia
para predicar el mensaje de su salvación hasta los confines de
la tierra (Hech 1:8). En otras palabras, Jesús fundó la iglesia en
la entrega desinteresada de su vida. El dio su todo para salvarnos. La mision es continuada por la Iglesia a través de la Predicacion, establecimiento y mantenimiento. Tu y yo hacemos la
Iglesia. Como tal, cada uno de nosotros tiene un papel que
desempeñar en construir la Iglesia de Cristo en amor. Pedro
dice que nosotros (creyentes) somos los pedazos de piedra las
cuales la Iglesia es edificada (1Pedro 2:5). Esto hacemos por
medio del tiempo voluntario, talentos y tesoros de los miembros de la Iglesia para servir a las necesidades de la parroquia y
diócesis. Alrededor del mundo Jesús continua compartiendo su
vida atreves de la Eucaristia y nos invita a compartir nuestros
talentos y tesoros para mantener y avanzar el trabajo de salvación.
Jesus teaches us much about stewardship in the Gospels. Stewardship is having the wisdom to understand that everything we
have is a gift from God of which we are to be the absolute best
caretakers. Each one of us has been given gifts and talents by
God, who loves us and calls us to share those gifts for building
up his kingdom. In the Acts of the Apostles and the New Testament letters, we see how the first Christians put Jesus’ teachings into practice. They generously sacrificed on behalf of the
widows, orphans, and neediest members of the community.
Saint Paul took up collections among the local churches of his
time to support the persecuted believers in Jerusalem. He saw
this as an opportunity to provide for the material needs of others
and, importantly, to create a sense of unity within the Church.
Each year, through Sunday Collections and DDF
pledges our Catholic family lives out the call to stewardship by
generously giving from the blessings we have received to serve
God and the Church. This support allows the Church to continue the good works of serving those in need, proclaiming the
Good News, celebrating the Sacraments, training of Seminarians and deacons, maintaining the Church, advocating for life
and dignity, and providing ministerial support for the parishes
on many levels. In so doing, we have come to know that DDF
appeal is more than a means of providing funding for good
works (which is very important!). Like Saint Paul did in his
day, participating in the DDF is a way of fostering the unity of
the Church in our diocese.
Much work remains to be done. Out of the love we
have for God, I hereby appeal to all the members of our parish
family to kindly make a pledge to the DDF this year. Last year
our DDF donors were 498 and our pledges about $83,000. The
number of those who made pledges last weekend 2014 DDF is
not up to 300 donors. As a result, we are going to give opportunity to those who are yet to make pledges to do so next Sunday. We are grateful for and proud of the dedication and sacrifice so many of our parishioners demonstrate in supporting our
Church through the weekly collections and our annual DDF
appeal.
Jesús nos enseña mucho sobre el corresponsal en los Evangelios. Corresponsal es tener la sabiduría de entender que todo
lo que tenemos es un regalo de Dios por el cual tenemos que
ser completamente los mejores vigilantes. Cada uno de nosotros hemos sido dados regalos y talentos por Dios, quien nos
ama y nos llama a compartir esos regalos para la edificación
de su reino. En Hechos de los Apóstoles y en las cartas del
Nuevo Testamento , vemos como los primeros Cristianos
ponen las enseñanzas en practica. Ellos generosamente se
sacrificaban por las viudas, huérfanos, y por los miembros mas
necesitados de la comunidad. San Pablo tomo colectas entre
las iglesias locales durante su época para apoyar a los creyentes perseguidos en Jerusalén. El miraba esto como una oportunidad de proveer el material necesitado de otros y importantemente, para crear un sentido de unidad entre la Iglesia.
Cada año, a través de la colectas de los Domingos y la
promesas del DDF nuestra familia Catolica vive asi afuera el
llamado al corresponsal dando generosamente de las bendiciones que hemos recibido para servir a Dios y la Iglesia. Este
apoyo permite a la Iglesia a continuar con las Buenas Nuevas,
celebrando los Sacramentos, entrenamiento de Seminaristas y
diaconos, manteniendo la Iglesia, abogando por la vida y dignidad, y proporcionando apoyo ministerial a las parroquias en
distintos niveles. Al hacerlo, hemos llegado a saber que el
fondo del DDF es mas que un medio que provee fondos para el
buen trabajo ( lo cual es muy importante!) Como San Pablo lo
hizo en sus tiempos, participar en el DDF es una forma de
adoptar la unidad de la Iglesia en nuestra diócesis.
Queda mucho trabajo por hacer. Por el amor que tenemos por Dios, Por la presente hago un llamamiento a todos los
miembros de nuestra familia parroquial, por favor hagan una
promesa para el DDF este año. El año pasado nuestros donadores para DDF fueron de 498 y nuestra promesa fue de $83,000.
El numero de aquellos que hicieron su promesa el pasado fin
de semana para el DDF 2014 no llegan ni a los 300 donantes.
Como resultado, les vamos a dar la oportunidad a aquellos que
todavía necesitan hacer su promesa a que lo hagan el próximo
Domingo. Estamos agradecidos y orgullosos de la dedicación
y sacrificio de muchos de nuestros feligreses que han demostrado a través del apoyo a nuestra Iglesia a través de las donaciones semanales y a la campaña anual del DDF.

Venta de Comida este domingo 26 de

shawls available that feature a crocheted pink ribbon for
breast cancer awareness. If you know of someone

The Blue Army in Rialto would like to announce
that there will be a Bi-lingual orientation day for
those who wish to make their total consecration
to the Immaculate Heart and Sacred Heart of
Jesus. The Orientation will be held in the Rialto
site on February 20 at 7pm in the parish hall.
The actual consecration will take place on March
25th at 7pm in the Rialto site church, with a Mass
given by Fr. Imo. The consecration mass is for all those who have
not been consecrated, however, those who would like to renew
their consecration vows are also welcome to participate in the
Mass and orientation.
