Dear Brethren: We thank God for being faithful and good and allowing us to participate in a small way within His great work. This month
was full of work and fruit.
Jewish Missions Seminary. By the grace of God and the invitation of
Pastor Luís Ramos we were able to hold a third seminary dedicated to
evangelism of the Jews. Pastor Ramos celebrated in the Iglesia biblica
Bautista of San Luis Potosi the annual missions conference, and at the
same time held an international school of missions. There were dozens
of pastors present. There was teaching and preaching from Tuesday
through Sunday. Pastor Ramos invited us to teach ten sessions of Jewish
missions simultaneously with the other classes that were held there. By
the grace of God in the evening sessions we reached an attendance of
105 persons interested in learning more about how to evangelize the
Jews. Among those were six pastors. Many of these brethren had
already been called to work with the Jews. On this occasion twenty six
people filled out a solicitude to affiliate with IBJM. Most of these
already have an interest in a specific field: England, Belgium, Argentina and Spain. I ask that you pray for these brothers on the way to the
mission field. Also pray for printed material that we can put in their hands to help in the work of evangelizing the Jews. They must have
Bibles in Spanish and Hebrew and tracts. I want to share with you that as fruit of the Jewish Missions Seminary we held in the Iglesia
Bautista Monte Abarim of Cuernavaca, Pastor Rubén Castillo is visiting the Jewish community of Pachuca, Hidalgo. Pray for the work in
that place, please.
Witnessing to Jews: My wife and son Israel met Shlomo, an Israeli Jew married to a Mexican lady who is
Catholic. They live in Querétaro. My wife witnessed to them and gave them tracts about the Messiah, Jesus
Christ. Shlomo was very nice and open to listening to the gospel. He gave us his direction and telephone to
continue speaking about doubts he has concerning Jesus. Please pray for the salvation of Shlomo.
Faith Promise Missions Offering: God has given
me the privilege of preaching missions conference in
several churches, concluding each with a faithpromise for the year. In the Primera Iglesia Bautista
de Texcoco I preached from Wednesday to Sunday.
On Sunday evening they celebrated a Great Day. There were 48 people saved
and 24 baptized, glory to God! The faith promise was more than $268,000
pesos. That is a record promise for the church. In the Iglesia Bautista el Faro de
la Gracia of Cd. Sahagún pastored by Brother Rubén Márquez, I preached a
prophecy conference during the week and a missions conference on the
weekend. The church promised to give to the work of missions this next year
more than $95,000 pesos. Also when I gave the invitation to serve the Lord fulltime, sixteen persons passed to the front to surrender their lives to be
missionaries, pastors and the ladies to be workers. Glory to God! In the Iglesia
Bautista El Mesías pastored by Brother Adrián Tapia in the town of Cuixtla,
Oaxaca, I taught a finance seminary and preached their first missions
conference. The church already supports two missionaries. This church is
almost at the entrance of the sierra in a very small community. There are about
sixty members. The brethren are very humble people who mainly live by
agriculture. By the grace of God this church promised to give to missions work
$51,636 pesos from their poverty. In the Iglesia Bautista Betel pastored by
Brother Elfego Ramirez of Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, the church held its first
missions conference. This church has thirty members, and they hold services under a palm shelter. They have promised to give to the
missions program a little over $18,000 pesos. The pastor invited two other churches that attended all the services. In this church, when the
invitation was given eleven persons surrendered their lives to full-time service. Glory to God! I also had the privilege of teaching a finance
conference in the Iglesia Bautista Cristiana de Morelia pastored by Brother Osmany Peláez. At the invitation in the final service, among other
decisions made, four brothers decided to partner with God in their business to finance missions work. In the Templo Bautista el Calvario
pastored by Brother Fernando Moreno en Cd. Cuauhtémoc, Chihuahua, I preached a missions conference and the church promised more than
$183,000 pesos to missions work. Saturday morning Pastor Moreno invited me to have devotions at 7 AM in the office of the municipal
president, Mr. Israel Beltrán. The president is sympathetic to Christianity. We met in his office along with five of his cabinet members.
After the devotion I asked if they were sure they were going to Heaven when they die, and they said no. Opening the Bible I gave them the
plan of salvation and an invitation to accept Jesus. By the grace of God all six prayed to ask Jesus to pardon their sins and save their souls.
Glory to God that we can see people saved everywhere, including public servants. In that same city I had the privilege to lead fourteen other
persons to Christ. Eight of them attended the church service. Three accepted baptism when I spoke to them about the next step. I presented
them to the pastor and he said he would baptize them in the coming days because the baptistery wasn't ready.
Personal ministry: By the grace of God we have been able to win souls in each place we have visited. During this month as a family we
witnessed to one hundred and eight persons of whom eighty two accepted Christ as personal Savior. Glory to God! One of those was Sister
Guadalupe Mora. When I began to speak with her and talked about the love of God, she began to cry unconsolably. Later when she had
calmed down a little I asked what the problem was. In a trembling voice she answered, my younger son is in jail and my older son was killed
six weeks ago. She said, "If you know something about God's love, pelase tell me because I really need to find it." I gave her the gospel of
love and after a few minutes she received the love of Jesus and His salvation in her heart. There are millions more just like her in the world.
Appreciation: I want to thank you for your prayers. This month on the 23rd and 24th we had our appointment with the United States
embassy in Monterrey to do the paperwork for our visas, and thanks be to God we have been approved. They told us we will receive them in
the mail in four to six weeks. At the same time on the 24th I received a letter from the representative of the government of Israel asking if we
are interested in going to Israel since they had not received a request for interview. (The problem is that we couldn't go to the US without
our visas.) I answered him the same day saying we will see him in his office in a few weeks. As soon as we have our documents we will
travel to Chicago for our interview. Thank you so much for your prayers in this affair. I want to thank all of you who pray for us; those who
support us financially; those who write to us. Thank you for investing in our ministry. Nothing that we do could be done without you.
Thank you. We work hard knowing that we have a responsibility to you, and we work hard so that there will be a recompense for your
investment in us. And mainly we work hard for the glory of Christ. I thank you also for your prayers for my wife. She had to have an
emergency operation the 8th of October, but thanks be to God she is rapidly recovering.
Prayer requests: 1. For the paperwork for our Israeli citizenship. 2. Salvation for Eli, Migdal, Levi and Salomon, Jesus Pimienta, Adan
Gutenberger, Asurim, the contacts we are visiting in Celaya and Queretaro, and for Shlomo. 3. For the church in Israel. 4. For the three
families that will go out of the church in Tel Aviv to plant churches in their countries: the Win Theins to Burma, Moses and Mercy to
Nigeria, Pascal and Cleodine to Ivory Coast. 5. For God's protection as we travel. 6. For the health of my friend Aaron Alderman who was
diagnosed with cancer and continues under treatment.

Estimados Hermanos: Damos gracias a Dios por ser fiel y bueno y permitirnos participar en una pequeña área dentro de Su gran obra. Este
mes estuvo lleno de trabajo y de fruto.
Seminario de Misiones Judías. Por la gracia de Dios y a invitación del
pastor Luis Ramos pudimos realizar un tercer seminario orientado al
evangelismo a los judíos. El pastor Ramos celebró en la Iglesia IBB-SLP
su conferencia misionera anual y al mismo tiempo tuvieron una escuela
de misiones internacionales. Asistieron docenas de pastores, hubo
enseñanza y predicación desde el martes a domingo. El pastor Ramos
nos invitó a ensenar 10 sesiones de misiones a los judíos
simultáneamente con las demás enseñanzas que se llevaban a cabo. Por
la gracia de Dios en las sesiones de la tarde llegamos a tener 105
personas asistiendo, interesados en aprender más acerca de cómo
evangelizar a los judíos, entre ellos seis pastores. Muchos de estos
hermanos ya han sido llamados a trabajar con judíos. En esta ocasión
aprovecharon veintiséis hermanos para llenar su solicitud para afiliarse a
IBJM. La mayoría de ellos ya tienen un interés específico sobre algún campo: Inglaterra, Bélgica, Argentina y España. Les suplico que oren
por estos hermanos en camino al campo misionero. También oren por material impreso que podamos poner en sus manos para realizar su
trabajo de evangelización a los judíos. Son necesarias Biblias en Español y Hebreo y folletería. Quiero compartirles que como fruto del
seminario de misiones judías que celebramos en Cuernavaca en la Iglesia Bautista Monte Abarim, el Pastor Rubén Castillo está visitando la
comunidad judía en Pachuca, Hidalgo. Oren por la obra en ese lugar por favor.
Testificando a judíos: Mi esposa y mi hijo Israel conocieron a Shlomo, judío Israelí casado con una señora
mexicana, católica. Ellos viven en Querétaro. Mi esposa le testificó y le dio unos folletos acerca del Mesías,
Jesucristo. Él fue muy amable y abierto a escuchar el evangelio. Nos dio su dirección y teléfono para seguir
hablando acerca de varias dudas que tiene acerca de Jesús. Oren por favor por la salvación de Shlomo.
Ofrenda Misionera Promesa de Fe: Dios me dio el
privilegio de predicar conferencias misioneras en
varias iglesias, concluyendo cada una con la promesa
de fe. En la Primera Iglesia Bautista de Texcoco
prediqué del miércoles al domingo. El domingo por la tarde celebraron un día
grande. Hubo 48 personas salvas y 24 bautizados, ¡Gloria a Dios! La promesa
de fe de la iglesia fue de más de $268,000 pesos. Una promesa record para la
iglesia. En la Iglesia Bautista el Faro de la Gracia de Cd. Sahagún que pastorea
Hermano Rubén Márquez, prediqué una conferencia de profecía entre semana
y misionera el fin de semana. La iglesia prometió dar para la obra misionera
este próximo año más de $95,000 pesos. También al dar la invitación para
servir al Señor de tiempo completo dieciséis personas pasaron al frente
rindiendo su vida para ser misioneros, pastores y las hermanas obreras de
tiempo completo. ¡Gloria a Dios! En la Iglesia Bautista El Mesías que pastorea
Hermano Adrián Tapia en el pueblo de Cuixtla, Oaxaca, ensené un seminario
de finanzas y prediqué su primera conferencia misionera. La iglesia ya apoyaba
a dos misioneros. La iglesia está casi en la entrada de la sierra en una
comunidad muy pequeña. Tiene alrededor de sesenta miembros. Los hermanos
son gente muy humilde que vive en su mayoría de la agricultura. Por la gracia
de Dios la iglesia prometió dar para la obra misionera $51,636 pesos de su
pobreza. En la Iglesia Bautista Betel pastoreada por Hermano Elfego Ramírez
de Puerto Escondido Oaxaca, la Iglesia tuvo su primera conferencia misionera.
Esta iglesia se compone de treinta miembros, de hecho los servicios se reúnen bajo una palapa. Ellos han prometido dar a la obra misionera
un poco más de $18,000 pesos. El pastor invito a dos iglesias más quienes asistieron a todas las predicaciones. En esta iglesia al dar la
invitación de llamamiento para servir al Señor de tiempo completo once personas rindieron su vida. ¡Gloria a Dios! También tuve el
privilegio de ensenar una conferencia de finanzas en la Iglesia Bautista Cristiana de Morelia pastoreada por Hermano Osmany Peláez. En la
invitación del último servicio, entre otras decisiones que se hicieron, cuatro hermanos decidieron hacer socio a Dios en su negocio para
financiar la obra misionera. En el Templo Bautista el Calvario que pastorea Hermano Fernando Moreno en Cd. Cuauhtémoc, Chihuahua,
prediqué su conferencia de misiones y la iglesia prometió dar para la obra misionera más de $183,000 pesos. En esta iglesia hubo seis
hermanos que rindieron su vida para servir al Señor de tiempo completo. El sábado por la mañana del fin de semana que estuve en esta
iglesia, Pastor Moreno me invitó a tener un devocional a las 7 AM en la oficina del presidente municipal, el señor Israel Beltrán. El señor
presidente es simpatizante con el cristianismo. Nos reunimos en su despacho. Cinco miembros de su gabinete estaban con nosotros. Después
de tener un devocional les pregunte si estarían seguros de ir al cielo al morir, a lo cual todos contestaron que no. Abriendo la Biblia les di el
plan de la Salvación, y les hice la invitación de aceptar a Jesús y por la gracia de Dios, los seis oraron para pedir a Jesús el perdón de sus
pecados y la salvación de sus almas. Gloria a Dios porque podemos ver gente salva en todo lugar, incluso servidores públicos. En esta misma
ciudad tuve el privilegio de guiar a catorce personas más a Cristo. Ocho de ellas asistieron al culto de la iglesia. Tres de ellas aceptaron ser
bautizadas cuando les hablé de que era su siguiente paso en la fe. Les presenté al pastor y él me dijo que les bautizaría los próximos días ya
que el bautisterio no estaba preparado.
Ministerio personal: Por la gracia de Dios hemos podido ganar almas en cada lugar que estamos. En este mes como familia les testificamos
a ciento ocho personas de las cuales ochenta y dos aceptaron a Cristo como Salvador personal. ¡Gloria a Dios! Una de ellas es la hermana
Guadalupe Mora. Cuando empecé a hablar con ella y le mencioné el amor de Dios, ella comenzó a llorar desconsolada. Luego de que se
calmó un poco le pregunté que cual era su problema. Con su voz temblorosa me contestó, mi hijo menor está en la cárcel y a mi hijo mayor
lo mataron hace 6 semanas. Me dijo si usted sabe algo del amor de Dios, hábleme de eso porque me urge encontrarlo. Le di el evangelio de
amor y luego de unos minutos ella recibió el amor de Jesús y la salvación en su corazón. Millones más hay como ella en el mundo…
Agradecimiento: Quiero agradecerles sus oraciones. Este mes los días 23 y 24 tuvimos nuestra cita en la Embajada de los Estados Unidos en
Monterrey para tramitar nuestra visa y gracias a Dios nos la han aprobado. Nos dijeron que de 4 a 6 semanas nos llegara por correo. Al
mismo tiempo el día 24 recibí un correo de parte de la representante del gobierno Israelí para preguntarme si tenemos interés en ir a Israel ya
que no ha recibido una petición de entrevista con ella de parte mía. (El problema es que no podíamos ir a los Estado Unidos sin las visas). Le
respondí el mismo día diciéndole que en unas semanas podríamos verla en su oficina. Así que en cuanto tengamos los documentos
viajaremos a Chicago para esta entrevista. Muchas gracias por sus oraciones en cuanto a este asunto. Quiero darles las gracias a todos ustedes
que oran por nosotros; a los de ustedes que nos sostienen financieramente; a ustedes que nos escriben. Gracias por invertir en nuestro
ministerio. Nada de lo poco que estamos haciendo sería posible sin ustedes. Gracias. Trabajamos duro sabiendo que tenemos responsabilidad
para con ustedes y trabajamos duro para que su inversión en nosotros no sea sin gran recompensa. Y trabajamos duro para la Gloria de
Cristo. Les agradezco también por sus oraciones por mi esposa. Ella tuvo que ser operada de emergencia el día 8 de Octubre, pero gracias a
Dios está recuperándose prontamente.
