THE MOST HOLY TRINITY
“The Trinity is not the product of human reasoning, it is the face which God himself
revealed, not from the top of a throne, but walking with humanity in the history of
the people of Israel, and above all in Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus is the Son who made us
know the merciful Father and brought to the world his ‘fire,’ the Holy Spirit.”
Pope Francis

TRINITY SUNDAY
PRAYER
Father,
You sent your Word
to bring us truth and
your Spirit to make us holy.
Through them we come to know
the mystery of Your life.
Help us to worship You,
one God in three persons,
You reveal yourself
in the depths of our being,
by proclaiming and living
our faith in You.
Grant this through our
Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son,
who lives and reigns
with You and the Holy Spirit,
one God for ever and ever.
Amen

CHANGE OF
MASS SCHEDULE SUMMER
Within a few weeks, summer vacations will
begin, and many families will leave Key
Biscayne to take a break elsewhere. Since
during these months the Mass attendance is
reduced, beginning on Sunday, June 7th, until
September 6th, 2015, the Mass schedule will be
as follows:
9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, and 6:00 PM (English)
1:00 PM and 7:30 PM (Spanish)
This of course combines the Masses at 8:30 AM
and 10:00 AM into only one at 9:00 AM. At the
same time, the Mass at 11:30 AM will be
advanced to 11:00 AM. The Saturday Masses
will continue as always at 8:00 AM and 5:30
PM. On September 13th, we will return to the
regular schedule.

Go . . . and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
— Matthew 28:19
Gospel (Matthew 28: 16 - 20)
The eleven* disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to
which Jesus had ordered them. When they all saw him,
they worshiped, but they doubted. Then Jesus
approached and said to them, “All power in heaven and
on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make
disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching
them to observe all that I have commanded you. And
behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”

Brief commentary
Today, the universal Church celebrates the Feast of the Holy Trinity. The doctrine of the
Trinity is the affirmation of God’s intimate communion with us through Jesus Christ in the
Holy Spirit. Christians believe that God intervenes in our lives and is involved in human
history. From the beginning of creation God tried to communicate and relate with all
creatures. In the Old Testament God did so through events and the prophets. And in the
fullness of time, God became one with humanity in Jesus Christ. By the power of the Holy
Spirit, God continues to be altogether present to us, seeking everlasting communion with all
creatures.
The Incarnation, the Word made flesh, is the ultimate proof of God’s infinite love for humanity
by becoming one with us. Jesus is the visible image of the invisible God, our model for the
Beatitudes, and the norm of the new law: “Love one another as I have loved you.” (Jn 15:12)
Today’s reading
messages:

three
significant
♦ The doctrine of the Trinity is “par excellence” a
theology of relationships: God is with us, we are
with God, and in God we are all one.
♦ Discipleship involves mission. This mission
continues that of Jesus by proclaiming to all the
love of God and inviting them to become one in
the “family” of the baptized.
♦ We are consoled with a living promise, “I am
with you always...”
For our shared or personal reflection:
After a brief pause for silent reflection share
your answers, ideas or feelings.
1. Do I move beyond my circle of close family and
friends to reach out to strangers and tell them
about God’s love for them?
2. God loves me so much that he became one with
me. How am I responding to that gift?

Vayan . . . y enseñen a todas las naciones,
bautizándolas en el nombre del Padre
y del Hijo y del Espíritu Santo.
— Mateo 28:19
Evangelio (Mateo 28, 16 - 20)
