LETTER FROM THE PASTOR
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
In preparation for the 150th anniversary of the founding of St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish which takes
place in the year of our Lord, 2017, I invite all of you to join me in the renewal of the consecration of our lives,
and that of the parish, to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The 33 day spiritual “retreat” begins this Friday, August
12th and will culminate on the Feast of the Triumph of the Holy Cross, September 14th.
Your retreat “companion” will be the book, 33 Days to Morning Glory, available in the back of the
church. We are asking for a $10.00 donation to cover the cost of the books.
The 33 day “spiritual retreat” is a unique opportunity to reflect on the lives of four great saints and to
emulate their generosity in the entrustment of our lives to the Blessed Virgin Mary as a sure way to grow
more deeply in relationship to Jesus Christ. St. Louis de Montfort, St. Maximilian Kolbe, Blessed Mother
Teresa, and St. Pope John Paul II will lead us to a renewal of our lives in Christ. As Pope John Paul II
reiterated time and time again, we do well to “contemplate Jesus Christ in the school of Mary.”
The process toward consecration is simple. It requires just a little reading every day and a “posture”
of prayer that isn’t so much about “saying” prayers as it is about “pondering” the mysterious work of the Holy
Spirit in our lives, and that of the parish. Most important, what’s needed in the process toward consecration is
humility and generosity on the part of each and every one. As Sacred Scripture teaches us, God is not
outdone in generosity. We give of ourselves and God gives back a hundred fold.
St. Louis de Montfort, who died in 1716, introduced a formal program for the consecration of one’s life
to Christ Jesus, through the Blessed Virgin Mary. He prophetically declared that his Marian spirituality would
help form some of the greatest saints in the history of the Church “to combat the world, the devil, and
corrupted nature, in those more than ever perilous times which are about to come.”
Are we now living through perilous times? Are perilous times on the horizon? However we answer
these questions, one thing is certain, there exists a growing indifference toward the faith of our ancestors and
in a real way a diabolical hostility against faith in Christ Jesus. To counter the forces that work against the
faith, we need to be formed in Christ Jesus. The Blessed Virgin Mary, more than anyone, holds the key to
this right relationship with God. She is the Mother of the Church. As she formed and nurtured the life of
Jesus, she wishes to do the same for us.
By virtue of our baptisms we have an obligation to give witness to Christ. He has entrusted Himself to
us through the Blessed Virgin Mary. The world must not be deprived the Light that dispels the darkness. We
bear this Light that all might see.
Together let us give ourselves to the Blessed Virgin that she form each of us and the parish in her
humility which creates the space for God to reproduce His life in each of us, without exception. We need the
consecration so that we never lose our sensitivity to all beautiful things sacred. We need the consecration
that we not be swallowed by the illusory gods of our age. We need the consecration that we not fall to the
temptation to compromise all that God has ordained for right living in this life and eternal happiness and
peace at the end of all things.
The book, 33 Days to Morning Glory will be our guide and companion as together we seek a
renewal and deepening of our faith in the “home” of the ever blessed and glorious Virgin Mary, Mother of God
and Mother of the Church.

Estimados Hermanos y Hermanas en Cristo,
Mientras que nos preparamos para el 150 aniversario de la fundación de la Parroquia de San Estanislao
Kostka el cual se llevará a cabo en el año del Señor del 2017, los invito a todos que me acompañen en la
renovación de la consagración de nuestra vida, y la de la parroquia, a la Santísima Virgen María. El “retiro”
espiritual de 33 días comienza este viernes, 12 de agosto y culminará en la Solemnidad del Triunfo de la Santa
Cruz el 14 de septiembre.
Su “acompañante” del retiro será el libro, 33 Días hacia la Mañana Gloriosa, lo cual estará disponible en
la parte de atrás de la iglesia. Estamos pidiendo una donación de $10.00 para cubrir el costo de los libros.
El “retiro spiritual” de 33 días es una oportunidad única para reflexionar sobre las vidas de los grandes
santos y para emular su generosidad en la entrega de sus vidas a Santísima Virgen María como una forma
segura a crecer con más profundidad en la relación con Jesucristo. San Luís de Montfort, San Maximiliano Kolbe,
la Beata Madre Teresa, y San Juan Pablo II nos guiarán en la renovación de nuestras vidas en Cristo. Como
reiteró una y otra vez, haríamos bien el “contemplar a Jesucristo en la escuela de María.”
El proceso hacia la consagración es sencillo. Sólo requiere un poco de lectura cada día y una “postura”
de oración que no requiere mucho el “recitar” las oraciones sino más bien “meditar” sobre el trabajo misterioso del
Espíritu Santo en nuestras vidas, y la de la parroquia. Lo más importante, es que lo que se necesita en el proceso
hacia la consagración es humildad y generosidad de parte cada uno y de todos. Como nos enseñan Las
Sagradas Escrituras, Dios es muy generoso. Nosotros nos entregamos a Dios y Dios nos devuelve 100 veces y
más.
San Luís de Monfort, quien murió en 1716, introdujo un programa formal de la consagración de uno mismo
a Cristo Jesús, por medio de la Santísima Virgen María. Él proféticamente declaró que su espiritualidad Mariana
ayudaría a formar grandes santos en la historia de la Iglesia “para combatir el mundo, el diablo, y la naturaleza
corrupta, en esos tiempos más peligrosos que nunca que están a punto de llegar.”
¿A caso estamos viviendo en tiempos peligrosos? ¿Están los tiempos peligrosos sobre el horizonte?
Como sea que contestamos estas preguntas, una cosa es segura, existe una creciente indiferencia hacia la fe de
nuestros antepasados y una forma real una hostilidad diabólica hacia la fe en Cristo Jesús. Para combatir las
fuerzas que trabajan contra la fe, debemos ser formados en Cristo Jesús. La Santísima Virgen María, más que
nadie, carga la llave de la relación correcta con Dios. Ella es la Madre de la Iglesia. Así como ella formó y nutrió
la vida de Jesús, así desea ella hacer lo mismo con nosotros.
Por virtud de nuestro bautismo tenemos una obligación a dar testimonio de Cristo. Él se ha entregado a
nosotros por medio de la Santísima Virgen María. El mundo no debe ser privado de la Luz que acaba con la
obscuridad. Llevamos esta Luz para que todos la puedan ver.
Juntos entreguémonos a la Santísima Virgen para que así ella pueda formarnos a cada uno de nosotros y
a la parroquia en su humildad la cual crea el espacio para Dios y así Él pueda reproducir Su vida en cada uno de
nosotros, sin excepciones. Necesitamos la consagración para que nunca perdamos nuestra sensibilidad a todas
las hermosas cosas sagradas. Necesitamos la consagración para que no seamos devorados por los dioses
falsos de nuestra era. Necesitamos la consagración para que no caigamos en la tentación y negociar todo lo que
Dios ha ordenado para vivir correctamente en esta vida y en el gozo y la paz eterna al final de todas las cosas.
El libro, 33 Días hacia una Mañana Gloriosa, será nuestra guía y acompañante mientras que juntos
buscamos la renovación y profundización de nuestra fe en el “hogar” de la siempre santísima y gloriosa Virgen
María, Madre de Dios y Madre de la Iglesia.

CONTEMPLATIVES IN ACTION at

First Friday Evenings before Mass from 6 pm to 7 pm
God speaks to us every day. You can hear Him if you listen.
Contemplatives in Action is a group of men and women who are
seeking to find “God in all things”. Through the Examen Prayer of St.
Ignatius Loyola we see how the Lord is working in our lives in the
moments of each day.
We contemplate the word of God. "Contemplation" is the word St.
Ignatius used to describe the type of prayer he recommends in that
part of the Spiritual Exercises where he shows us how to grow in
intimacy with our Lord. After listening to the Gospel, we have a
conversation about how the Lord is speaking to us and inviting us to
respond through our actions.

zobowiązania, wybrania jednej godziny albo też takiej
ilości czasu jaką możecie i zapisania się na adorację.
