I use it with my Spanish II or III to show the similarities between Portuguese and Spanish. Marc Anthony – Vivir Mi Vida: ir + a + infinitive verbs, very catchy and repetitive Nelly Furtado ft. La Mala – Bajo Otra Luz: just fun! Paulina Rubio – Me Gustas Tanto: using gustar, present participles Prince Royce – Stand By Me: great Spanglish song Prince Royce – Darte Un Beso: attaching pronouns to the end of infinitive verbs Prince Royce – Corazón Sin Cara: adjective agreement, cultural relevance Prince Royce – Incondicional: just a beautiful song! Ricky Martin – Frío: There is a difficult-to-understand rap by Wisin in this song. I use this song for Spanish III. Santana – Corazón Espinado: using past participles as adjectives Shakira – Waka Waka: cultural relevance, soccer, I use this when we learn sports and hobbies. Sie7e – Tengo Tu Love: This is the first song I do with Spanish I. They love it. I talk about Sie7e’s dialect (he’s from Puerto Rico). There are a lot of pop culture references (iPhone, Mariah Carey, etc.) and the song’s lyrics and meaning are easy to understand.
