SYLVESTER
Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center fue fundado en
1992 gracias a la generosidad de Harcourt M. and Virginia
W. Sylvester Foundation. Hoy, Sylvester/UMHC – University
of Miami Hospital & Clinics, funciona como núcleo de

Sylvester/UMHC creó el programa de acceso para pacientes

GRUPOS DE CANCER SEGÚN
LA UBICACIÓN
Sylvester aplica un abordaje enfocado, “basado en la

SYLVESTER
Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center was established in 1992
through the generosity of the Harcourt M. and Virginia W.
Sylvester Foundation. Today, Sylvester/UMHC – University of
Miami Hospital & Clinics, serves as the cancer diagnosis and
treatment hub for UHealth – University of Miami Health
System. And Sylvester’s physicians and scientists, all faculty
of the Miller School of Medicine, conduct groundbreaking,
cancer-related research, including providing patients access to
clinical trials.

Sylvester/UMHC created the “Ask for Ana” patient access
program to provide guidance, support, and advocacy during
cancer treatment. From arranging patients’ first appointments
to connecting with the right cancer specialists, the “Ask for Ana”
team makes it easier to take advantage of all the resources at
Sylvester/UMHC. To get started, call 305-243-5302 or

SITE DISEASE GROUPS
Sylvester applies a targeted, “site-based” approach where teams
of physicians and other health care providers focus on treating
specific types of cancer (based on where the cancer originates in
the body). The 15 site disease groups are:
