Parish Census Update
Thank you to the 535 households who have returned the parish census update form. If you have
not done so, please return it by the end of August.
That is when we will update our records. If you do
not respond you will not be registered. Being registered in the parish is vital for long-range planning. It
also guarantees that you receive important mailings from the parish. We do not share this information with any person or organization. It is solely
for use by the parish priests and staff. Registration
forms are available at all the church entrances
(they are blue). You can drop the completed form
in the offertory basket, mail it in, or drop it off at the
office. Your cooperation with the project is needed
and is appreciated.

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults)
Following Vatican II, RCIA, or Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, became the norm for bringing people into the church. This is a gradual process where
people are guided through various discernment
periods until they are brought into the Catholic
Church at the Easter Vigil. Adults who have never
been baptized, as well as adults converting from
another faith, or adults who wish to complete their
sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and
Eucharist) are encouraged to join us. Membership is
open to adults interested in becoming Catholics
and receiving the Sacraments. If you or someone
you know is interested in a deeper understanding of
the Catholic faith in preparation for the reception
of the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and
Eucharist, we would like to meet you. Please call

RCIA (rito de iniciación cristiana para adultos)
Siguiente Concilio Vaticano II, rica o rito de iniciación
cristiana de adultos, se convirtió en la norma para

Catholic Charities Annual Mass
Please join us in prayer at the 12:10 Mass on Friday,
August 21. The Mass intention is for friends of Catholic Charities. Representatives from Catholic Charities
will be serving light refreshments after Mass and will
be available for questions.

Rally at Planned Parenthood
In response to recent controversy highlighted by
Planned Parenthood’s practice of selling the fetal
tissue and parts from the babies they abort, there
will be a rally and prayer vigil at the Planned
Parenthood clinic, 1140 Sonoma Avenue on Saturday, August 22, 9:00-11:00 a.m. All are encouraged
to attend and witness to the sacredness of each
and every human life.

Parish Festival Banner
Next Sunday you are invited to add your name and
handprint to the Banner that will be used to advertise the Parish Festival. For the next few weeks it will
be on display at the entrance to the parking lot. It
will be on the stage the day of the Festival, September 20th. Members of the Festival Planning
Committee are at the front entrance to the church
after Mass to assist with this. Check it out!
Parroquia Festival Bandera
Próximo Domingo están invitados a agregar su nombre y huella de la mano a la bandera que se utilizará

Annual Yard Sale Drop-off Date
The next drop-off date is Saturday, August 29th from
2:00-4:00 p.m. Bring saleable items that day to the
special truck in the church parking lot. Due to very
limited storage we are not able to accept larger
items at this time.
