3 Week Grades: Three weeks progress reports will be going home with students on Tuesday, December 1st.
Toy Drive: This is the last week to bring in your new or gently used toys to the National Honor Society members
who are collecting items for the less fortunate children in the Brazos Valley. This Thursday, December 3rd will be
the last day to bring in items. This has been moved up one day sooner! This is a great opportunity to think of others
who may be less fortunate in our area, especially during the holidays. The toys that are gathered will be taken to
the area MASH Toy Drive at the Post Oak Mall on Saturday, December 5th. The class that brings in the most toys
will be given a popcorn party!
Mumford Student Council Food Drive: The Mumford Student Council is busy collecting food and other
non-perishable items for the Brazos Valley Food for Family Food Drive. These items will be collected until Monday,
Dec. 7th. So, there is only one week left for those that would like to items to others in the Brazos Valley. There will
be a challenge to see which homeroom will bring in the most items. Nonperishable items include any type of canned
item (soups, tuna, chicken, vegetables, and fruits), boxed pastas, and paper goods (plates, toilet paper, paper
towels, etc.). We appreciate all those that give to others in the community!
Regional Band Contest: On Friday, December 4th and Saturday, Dec. 5th, we have several band members that
will be competing with other students to earn a spot in Regional Band. Junior High students will compete on Friday
and High School students will compete on Saturday! They will be competing in Groesbeck and we wish them all Good
Luck!!!
EOC Re-Test: Students who did not pass their EOC exams in prior attempts will have the chance to retake
exams during the week of December 7 – 11th. English I retest will be Monday, Dec. 7, Biology EOC retest on
Tuesday, Dec. 8, English II EOC will be Wed, Dec 9, and the US History retest will be on Thursday, Dec 10. If you
need to take one of these exams please be sure you get plenty of rest the night before and a good breakfast!
Robertson County Historical Commission Art Contest: We had several students participate in the
Robertson County Historical Commission Art Contest. Three of our students earned top honors for the High School
Division: receiving 2nd place – Abel Rodriquez, and honorable mention – Lindsey Zemanek. For the Elementary
Division receiving 1st place and GRAND CHAMPION overall - McKenzie FitzSimon. Congratulations to these
students!
Christmas Program: The Mumford Annual Christmas Program will be on Thursday, December 10th. We ask
that you be in your chairs and ready for the program to begin approximately at 7:00. Children in grades Pre K – 2nd
need to be in their homerooms by 6:30 PM. The theme this year is “Christmas Rocks!” and the kids and teachers
have been working very hard. Doors will be open to the public at 5:30 PM, seating is first come first serve.
Parents, please read: All students, involved in the play, will have the opportunity to watch the program during
dress rehearsal at school; Students who are performing should not be in the gym with parents. They
should stay with their homeroom teachers throughout the ENTIRE program. Also, we ask that
audience members STAY SEATED throughout the performance and do not come and go during
the program or leave early, this causes disruptions and does not allow the same respect to each group
performing. If parents do chose to take their children home early they need to check them out with their
homeroom teacher.

Grados de 3 Semanas: Reportes de progreso de las tres semanas irán a casa con los estudiantes el martes
diciembre 1.
Colección de Juguetes: Esta es la última semana para traer sus juguetes nuevos o usados en buenas condiciones a
los miembros de la Sociedad Nacional de Honor que están recolectando artículos para los niños menos afortunados
en el Valle de Brazos. Este jueves 3 de diciembre será el último día para traer artículos. Esta es una gran
oportunidad para pensar en otros que pueden ser menos afortunados en nuestra zona durante estos días festivos.
Estos juguetes serán llevados al “MASH Toy Drive” en la Post Oak Mall el sábado 5 de diciembre. El salón que traiga
la mayoría de juguetes será otorgada con una fiesta de palomitas!
Colección de Alimentos del Consejo Estudiantil de Mumford: El Consejo Estudiantil de Mumford está muy
ocupado en la colección de alimentos y artículos no perecederos para el “Brazos Valley Food for Family Food Drive”
(colección de alimentos para familias del Valle de Brazos). Estos artículos serán recogidos hasta lunes 7 de
diciembre. Por lo tanto sólo queda una semana para los que les gustaría donar artículos a otros en el Valle de Brazos.
Artículos no perecederos incluyen cualquier tipo de alimento enlatado (sopas, atún, pollo, verduras y frutas), sopas
en cajas, y productos de papel (platos desechables, papel de baño, toallas de papel, etc.) Agradecemos a todos los
que dan para nuestra comunidad!
Concurso Regional de Banda: El viernes diciembre 4 y sábado diciembre 5 tendremos varios miembros de la
banda que competirán con otros estudiantes para ganarse un lugar en la Banda Regional. Estudiantes de junior high
competirán el viernes y los estudiantes de high school competirán el sabado! Ellos estarán compitiendo en
Groesbeck y les deseamos a todos buena suerte!
EOC Re -Test: Estudiantes que no aprobaron los exámenes de EOC en los intentos anteriores tendrán la
oportunidad de volver a presentarlo la semana de diciembre 7 al 11. Examen de Inglés I será lunes diciembre 7, el
de Biología EOC el martes diciembre 8, Inglés II EOC será miércoles diciembre 9, y el de Historia de US será el
jueves diciembre 10. Si tienes que tomar uno de estos exámenes por favor asegúrate de obtener suficiente
descanso la noche anterior y un buen desayuno!
Concurso de Arte por parte del Comité Histórico del Condado de Robertson: Tuvimos varios estudiantes
participantes en el Concurso de Arte del Comité Histórico del Condado de Robertson. Tres de nuestros estudiantes
ganaron los máximos honores de la División de Escuelas Secundarias: En segundo lugar - Abel Rodríguez, y mención
de honor - Lindsey Zemanek. En la División de Primaria recibiendo 1er lugar y Gran Campeona - McKenzie Fitzsimon.
Felicidades a estos estudiantes!
Programa de Navidad: El Programa Anual Navideño de Mumford será el jueves 10 de diciembre. Les pedimos que
estén en sus sillas y listos para el programa para poder comenzar a las 7:00. Los niños en grados PreK al 2 tienen
que estar en sus salones a las 6:30 PM. El tema de este año es "Las Navidades de Rock and Roll!" y los niños y sus
maestros han estado trabajando muy duro. Puertas se abrirán al público a las 5:30, asientos se obtienen por orden
de llegada.
Padres, por favor lean: Todos los estudiantes que participan en el programa tendrán la oportunidad de verlo
durante el ensayo general en la escuela por lo que pedimos que los padres dejen a sus niños con sus maestros
durante todo el programa. Los estudiantes que están en el programa no deben estar en el gimnasio con los padres.
Asimismo, le pedimos que miembros de la audiencia permanezcan sentados durante toda la presentación y no ir y
venir durante el programa o salir temprano. Esto causa interrupciones y no da el mismo respeto a cada grupo en el
programa. Si los padres quieren llevarse a sus hijos a casa temprano tienen que verificar con el maestro.
