An update on redevelopment plans from the Cambridge Housing Authority (CHA)
The next Manning revitalization meeting will be on
Monday, November 30 at 6 pm in the community room.

Construction Work Begins
New Intercom/Buzzer System
As you have noticed, Shawmut has begun
construction preparation work (“enabling
work”) in the outside patio, balconies, vacant
stack of units, and entryway. The CHA team
will continue to send out resident notices
when work will impact residents in a new way
or result in some temporary inconveniences.
We will be switching to a new buzzer system
in the coming weeks once the new entryway
is ready at that time. We will be providing you
with a temporary landline phone if you don’t
have one, and we will make sure everyone
understands how to use the new system
before we make the switch.
Over the next few weeks the contractors
will be completing the temporary entryway,
setting up the temporary intercom and
buzzer system, and preparing the temporary
service locations such as the temporary
laundry room in 9C and the temporary
management office in 3J.
IF YOU HAVEN’T RETURNED YOUR TELEPHONE
SURVEY FORM TO TONYA’S OFFICE YOU MUST
DO SO AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. This is very
important.
The contractors will be using one elevator
on weekday mornings between 6 am and
8 am to move materials until the exterior
material hoist is set up in mid- to lateDecember. Otherwise the contractors should
not be using the resident elevators to move
materials. If you see this happening please
report it to Belinda Luscinskas, the on-site
construction clerk, in apartment 4L or at 617901-3211.

Relocation Reminder
The relocation coordinators will continue
to work with you to notify you of your
moving date and make sure you have all
the information you need. There are always
